You can include your own photos, videos, descriptions, and insider tips to highlight those hidden gems guests wouldn’t find otherwise.

Can I reorder or prioritize which local spots appear first in each category?

Is there a limit to how many places I can add or how many categories I can create?

Nope, there’s no limit to how many places you can add or how many categories you create.

Add as much local flavor as you want!

Can I edit or override the Google-imported details (like name, hours, or photos)?

Yes, you can edit or override everything from the Google-imported details, including the name, hours, photos, and descriptions.

You’re in full control of how each place is presented.

How are drive and walk times calculated, and are they accurate for rural or remote properties?

Drive and walk times are calculated using the Google Distance Matrix API, which pulls real-time data based on your property’s location.

It’s generally accurate, even for rural or remote areas, but like any mapping tool, occasional quirks can happen in off-the-grid spots.

Do guests need to be connected to Wi-Fi or use location services to see directions and travel times?

Yes, guests will need to have Wi-Fi or mobile data and location services enabled to see real-time directions and travel times.

Can I track which guests clicked which places or just see general engagement stats?

You’ll see general engagement stats, like which places are getting the most clicks, but not tied to individual guests.

All analytics are non-personal and privacy-friendly.

Can I include links to external resources, like restaurant menus or event calendars?

Yes, you can include external links!

  • Restaurant or place websites often come through automatically via Google Places

  • For anything else like event calendars or custom resources, you can manually add your own links to any place or section in the guidebook.

Will guests be able to save or favorite locations within the guidebook?

Not yet, guests can’t save or favorite locations within the guidebook at this time, but it’s a feature we’re considering for future updates.

Is this feature mobile-friendly and easy to navigate for guests on the go?

Yes, the neighborhood feature is fully mobile-friendly and easy to navigate.

Guests can tap on any spot and it’ll open directly in their Google Maps app, making it super convenient while they’re out and about.
